Pablo Soldano
Pablo Soldano has forged a 10-year background activity as a sailing-dinghy instructor in Sicily, bringing up many national and international top-class skippers. Since then, he has recognized the fundamental role of sails and developed a feeling for high-performance shapes. Pablo has also worked in several sail lofts, building a strong hands-on experience across the whole sail manufacturing process.
Pablo meets Giorgio Zuccoli at the many regatta events he participates, and this marks a turning point in his life. In 1992, Pablo moves to Iseo (BS) and starts working with Giorgio for the Ullman Group.
Giorgio Zuccoli, Dave Ullman, Jay Glaser and Roberto Vencato are his reference points when it comes to sail design. Their vast experience and know-how, together with accurate (aerodynamics) analysis techniques and the most advanced (wind-tunnel) technologies are the ingredients of the high quality and development level of his sails. |

Giorgio Zuccoli
Giorgio Zuccoli (1958-2001) was the first representative of the Ullman Sails Group in Italy.
He was the pioneer of Tornado sails design in Italy, starting his career by making his own Tornado sails. From Tornado production he was soon driven worldwide by his success to diversify the activities towards a wide range of racing catamarans. Parallel to his sail design activities, Giorgio Zuccoli became a prominent figure in the world competitive sailing. For about fifteen years he was a top-level sailor, gaining a prominent reputation especially in the Olympic Tornado and International Melges Classes.
His achievements were not only the result of hard and goal-oriented work, but also possible because of his vibrant and optimistic personality.
