We are proud to introduce the Platu25 among our one design production.
This sails have been evolving after two years of racing in different nations and with different teams Using the most modern sail design and sail analysis software we confirmed the sail range in production as follows:
MANSAIL
Mainsail Radial Pentex
It is produced out of two different cloth weight from Dimension Pentex material: PE15-1.5mil for the area of the sail that need to support big loads and PE10-1.5mil in the front part of the sail to allow a smother shape. This cloth combination, added with a radial cut gives the perfect adjustability through different wind range

Mainsail Dacron Cross-cut
This sail has reached the perfect balance between durability (Dacron material last longer that laminated cloth) and adjustability in a wide wind range conditions, letting you concentrate in racing instead of sail tweaking .

HEADSAILS
Light Genoa
Perfect combination between lightness and durability thanks to its horizontal sections which gives an incredible smooth shape. The development of this sail was focused through material construction aiming to find the best compromise between performing and durability.
It is built using Laminate Pentex cross-cut which grants the necessary strength on the upper wind range and still the sail is soft and smooth in light conditions.
Panels are glued with an ultrasonic bond system that allows a perfect load support on the seams and so a longer shape stability.

Medium Genoa
Due to the use of this sail in strong racing condition the choice was towards a traditional Tri-radial cut.
Cloth used is Laminate Pentex combined with a strong construction, which is the key to allow shape support in strong conditions as well as a wide adjustability between powerful shape in choppy conditions to a quick shape in flat water.

Jib
Dacron cross cut construction was developed to suit the use of this sail where skills and boat handling are priorities and the sail must give functionality and trustability.

SPINNAKER
Current shape was acquired in order to get an excellent deep mode sailing which is a perfect weapon on Platu up/down wind courses.
Fabric and panel layout decisions were the main considered factor to achieve a sail that would give the strongest construction .
